After spending a couple of awe-inspiring months in the deserts of CA, AZ and NM, we had three weeks of geographical respite in Golden, CO.  It’s not that we don’t like desert — every new mile seems to draw another “ooh!” from us — but it just isn’t our natural habitat.  At any rate, we moved back west again from “The Gateway to the Rockies” to Moab, UT, where we got to check out the absolutely hyperbolic peaks (Arches) and valleys (Canyonlands) that millions of years of geographic changes can cause.  It’s one of those places that’s a little too …read more »
